This masterclass is a preview into Joey's semester-long course where we delve into the lives and performances of those who have been deemed by fans and colleagues alike as the "Kings", "Queens", "Mothers" and "Fathers" of music. We will be exploring the genres of Gospel and Soul music as we look into the lives of Mahalia Jackson, Thomas Dorsey, Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles!
