Chautauqua Summer Institute 2024

Annual Encore Summer Choral Institute at the Chautauqua Institution

August 25, 2024 - August 30, 2024

This Encore program draws singers from across the country, who are interested in improving their vocal technique, rehearsing challenging choral music and spending a week in a beautiful setting with other music lovers. 

The program concludes on Friday afternoon with a final concert performance, conducted by Artistic Director Brian Fontaine-Isaac!

Spouses, family members, and guests are warmly welcomed to attend.

Materials

You will receive hard copies of your music when you first arrive at camp when you check in. Digital versions of materials (score PDFs and rehearsal tracks) will be available online to practice before you arrive. Please note that there will be no rehearsal CDs for summer camps.

Costs and Rates

Please note: there are no more spaces on the bus from Maryland or Virginia.

• Single Occupancy, singer: $1720 per person
• Single Occupancy, non-singer: $1620 per person
• Double Occupancy, singer: $1510 per person
• Double Occupancy, non-singer: $1410 per person
• Commuter, singer: $840 per person
• Commuter, non-singer: $740 per person

Final payment is due by June 30, 2024.

If you have placed a deposit with us through our Roadmap of Events Deposit registration page, you will receive a coupon code after deposit registration closes on January 2, 2024. Please use the coupon code provided in that email. Your deposit amount of $200 will be deducted from your subtotal at the payment page. (Please note, when selecting a ticket, it will show the full cost. The final page before payment will have your deposit deducted from the total.)

If you need an Encore polo shirt (required for performances), you may order one for $30 as a part of the registration process. Please select your preferred size and cut on the registration page.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Encore's refund policy for individual cancellations of this program are as follows:

• Cancellation on or before June 30, 2024: Full refund minus $50 admin fee
• Cancellation from July 1, 2024 - August 3, 2024: 50% refund
• Cancellation on or after August 4, 2024: No refund
