ROCK with us this summer in Detroit as we sing our way through a city with the pulse of rock 'n' roll!

Detroit ROCKS continues our annual ROCKS Camp series, where we bring Encore ROCKers and lovers of rock 'n' roll music to significant cities in rock 'n' roll history. Campers at our Detroit ROCKS camp will rehearse an exciting repertoire of music that pays homage to the heartbeat of the city, all while experiencing the local attractions and scenery.

Our host hotel, the Fort Pontchartrain Hotel, is conveniently located in the heart of Detroit's historic districts. In addition, our camp will educate you on the history of rock with trips to museums and heritage sites. You'll visit the Motown Museum and the Wright Museum of African American History, join us on the Sunset Motown Dinner Cruise, walk to the beat of the Detroit Historical Society Rhythm Walk, have a relaxing evening at Baker's Keyboard Lounge, and visit the homes of great Motown artists.

Repertoire and Sample Itinerary

The repertoire for this camp will be a selection of pieces written or arranged by Detroit and Motown artists to pay true homage to our host city. You can expect ample rehearsal time with our new selected pieces of rock 'n' roll arrangements and a final concert at the end of the camp, performed alongside a local Detroit-based rock band.

Materials

You will receive hard copies of your music when you first arrive at camp when you check in. Digital versions of materials (score PDFs and rehearsal tracks) will be available online to practice before you arrive. Please note that there will be no rehearsal CDs for summer camps.

Costs and Rates

If you have placed a deposit with us through our Roadmap of Events Deposit registration page, you will receive a coupon code after deposit registration closes. Please use the coupon code provided in that email. Your deposit amount of $200 will be deducted from your subtotal at the payment page. (Please note, when selecting a ticket, it will show the full cost. The final page before payment will have your deposit deducted from the total.)

Online credit card payments are subject to a 4% credit card processing fee. You may also choose to pay via check mailed to Encore's address without the credit card fee. To pay via check, please select the check payment option and choose "Pay Later (Check)" on the registration form. (Click here for a visual guide to the button on the registration page.)

Final payment is due by May 5th, 2025.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

• Cancellation on or before May 6th, 2025: Full refund 
• Cancellation from May 7th, 2025 - June 6th, 2025: 50% refund
• Cancellation on or after June 7th, 2025: No refund
