All classes are live online using Zoom.

for whatever you want to pay starting at $0.

Classes begin the week of October 6th.

Classes begin at 4:00PM (ET) and meet for 10 weeks.

Exception: The Tuesday class begins at 4:30pm(ET)

 

 

MONDAYS: Tai Chi with Master Joel Timmons

4:00pm-5:00pm starting Mondays, October 6th

Course Description: This course will introduce people to the unique benefits of Taiji/qigong training. And to “demystify” this art and make its benefits more accessible to a larger population.

 

TUESDAYS: African American Music with Dr. Abimbola Kai-Lewis

4:30pm-5:30pm starting Tuesday, October 7th

Course Description: This course traces the history of African American music from the seventeenth century to present day. We will engage in weekly discussions spotlighting a variety of musical figures and genres. Course content will be extended through brief assignments designed to expand upon class conversations and readings.

 

WEDNESDAYS: Dance Music Around the Globe with Joey Clark

4:00pm-5:00pm starting Wednesday, October 8th

Course Description: Joey continues leading our trip around the world in this second installment of Global Music...this time with an emphasis on the rhythms and grooves that have everyone's feet tappin', arms wavin', and spirits soarin'! From the Brazilian Samba to the Step Dances of Ireland to India's Bharatnatyam, this listening course will expose you to music from different regions, draw discussion from class participants' cultural backgrounds and travels, and even teach you a few dance moves along the way!

 

THURSDAYS: Building Your Voice with Jacquelynne Fontaine-Isaac

4:00pm-5:00pm starting Thursday, October 9th

Course Description: Join Encore conductor Jacquelynne Fontaine-Isaac as she leads you through accessible and engaging vocal workouts designed to help you build your voice no matter where you are on your journey as a singer. Throughout this 10-week course you’ll learn valuable vocal warm-up techniques, tips for building vocal stamina, exercises to help you extend your range, and best practices for keeping your voice healthy and growing into the new year! No lecture - all singing!

While not necessary to participate, if you’ve taken any of Jacquelynne’s previous EU classes, “Building your Voice” will apply concepts learned in “Singing 101” and “Class Voice.”
